Power Rhubarb
Brennos-style apple-rhubarb compote: raw and with stimulating superfoods. Simple and effective.
Rhubarb is very rich in calcium, vitamin K and vitamin C. In season, its freshness delights us. Combined with Red Superblend (Maca, Guarana, Acai, Baobab), here is a fresh and energetic cocktail.
For 1 serving
1 red apple (Gala type)
1 sprig of fresh rhubarb
2 tbsp honey/maple
2 tsp Red Superblend
optional: 1 tbsp coconut cream (solid)
Take care to remove the leaves of the rhubarb which are toxic. Rinse the rhubarb well and cut into small pieces, take a large handful. Do the same for the apple.
Use a mixer (or food processor) rather than a blender because this recipe does not have any added liquid. Blend all the ingredients until you get a compote texture and then enjoy with a spoon.
